Garrosh is dead and another expansion of raiding is in the books. Obviously this tier, and this boss in particular, took way longer than any of us would have hoped. That was primarily due to roster issues, but there's no point in making excuses, we might as well take the blame for bad judgement in recruiting if nothing else. If there's one thing I've noticed this expansion, it's that there's a certain selfishness in many of today's newer raiders that wasn't nearly as common in years gone by. I can't even count on both hands the number of people who bailed on us this tier at the worst possible times. Perhaps I'm just stuck in the ancient past where people actually cared about their guild and the people they raided with.
The good news is that being stuck in the past isn't always a bad thing, since per usual, it's great raiders from our past that came back and got us through the rough patches. At the start of the tier, if you'd told me who'd be in our Garrosh kill picture, I never would have believed it. In any case, this has been a great expansion for raiding, the best one since Burning Crusade - if not ever. If Blizzard keeps it up, then WoW raiding still has a surprising amount of life left in it. We head into 20-man raiding and whatever's next with a very solid group of people, certainly (with the benefit of hindsight) a vast improvement over what we came into this tier with.
We have a video of this kill available here.
